Three-Phase Separator

Horizontal separator splitting gas, oil and water, with level control, weir and carry-over behaviour.

This asset is on the roadmap.

The catalogue entry exists so you can see what is coming and tell us if you need it sooner. Interested organisations shape the build order.

Explore the equipment

Fluid arriving from the wells is a mixture, and the horizontal shell gives gravity a long, shallow pool to work in. An inlet device breaks the momentum of the feed; gas runs along the top and leaves through a mist extractor, which catches droplets that would otherwise leave as carry-over. Below, oil floats on the water, and each liquid has its own outlet: a weir plate across the shell sets the level at which oil spills over into a compartment at the far end, while water leaves by a nozzle in the bottom, upstream of that plate. The interface between them is measured in its own right. Such vessels sit close to where fluid enters a plant.
